Russia’s Mostotrest signs 97 bln rbl contract for Crimean bridge
MOSCOW, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- Construction company Mostotrest has signed a 96.9 billion ruble contract with SGM-Most, a unit of Arkady Rotenberg’s Stroygazmontazh, which is building a bridge across the Kerch Strait from Russia’s Krasnodar Region to Crimea, the company said in a statement late on Wednesday.
Mostotrest is to construct the major part of the bridge’s pillars and superstructures and develop the bridge deck structured system.
SGM-Most also said in a statement that besides Mostotrest, the list of subcontractors includes companies Mostootryad 75, Karst, Mostodorstroy, and KBK-Group.
Russia’s Federal Road Agency approved the bridge plan in February. The cost of construction of the 19-kilometer bridge is expected to stand at 212 billion rubles. On March 18, Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said that the bridge’s facilities for car traffic will be launched until December 2018, and the railway part of the bridge will be launched soon after that.
